Ball Mill, Milling Media and Jars$$350

Have you ever considered ball-milling your glazes? We have just the thing for you! It’s not beautiful, but it works great.

We’re selling it along with everything you need to get started milling today: the mill itself, along with about 20 lbs of milling media (alumina) in various sizes from pea to ping-pong ball, and plastic jars that fit the rollers. It’s a three-level machine, with two levels currently hooked up and working. To get the third level working, you would need to connect a chain.

The only reason we’re selling it is that we’ve stopped using the glaze that needed milling, and aren’t currently experimenting with the natural materials that work best when milled.

L&L X2354-D electric kiln $5000$$5000

This kiln is 22” x 22” inside. It has six 9” tall sections. I usually use four sections for my firings, but sometimes add the other two for taller sculpture work. When all six sections are used there is an interior height of 54”— great for tall sculpture. This kiln has heavy-duty S-type thermocouples and is rated for cone 10. But I have only used it for cone 6 firings. I have replaced the original wire heating elements once. The kiln has been fired about 50 times total over the last 10 years. I am moving and will be setting up a new studio with a smaller kiln. Otherwise, I would just keep using this kiln, which operates without problems. It has a Dyna-trol electronic control panel.

Peter Pugger 30 ton Plate Press$$19,000

This press is 1 year old and has never been used and comes with custom made die rings. We thought we would be needing this for production but it turned out to be more than we needed. The press is currently located in South San Francisco.

The price is what is left on the lease/purchase – I have already paid $11k towards the purchase of the press and I am just looking for someone to either purchase it outright or take over the lease payments.

The link provided is the exact machine I am selling and provides more detail.
